This FAQ is for Towards Heliopolis - Our retreat in Occitania in the South of France 4th-11th September 2024.
I need a roommate – how do I arrange that?
We can match you with a roommate if you have not made previous arrangements. If we cannot match you with a roommate, we will switch you to a single occupancy room which you will be required to pay for. If you sign up early you will most likely get your desired choice.
Can I bring my children/partner?
As much as we love children, this retreat is for adults only. Partners are welcome if they are attending the retreat.
Where do I fly into? Flights:
Fly into Toulouse Blagnac Airport September 4th 2024 before 3pm, so we can pick you up and get you settled in before dinner. Departure day is early in the morning September 11th. Please book your flight departing Toulouse Blagnac Airport after 10AM (Please do not fly into Carcassonne!)
Do you find flight booking confusing? Get in touch, and we will advise you, so you don’t have to spend days researching.
Is there transportation from the airport to the venue?
Yes, transportation will be provided both ways, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes, the restaurant on site can accommodate several dietary restrictions, including vegetarian.
If you have particular allergies or concerns about your diet, please let us know upon booking your stay so we may accommodate you properly.
We regret that vegan food is hard to come by in the area, and we cannot promise availability of vegan options.
Is it safe to travel to France?
Yes. The South of France is very safe and friendly.
How about language? I worry that I wont be understood.
The French love their language and prefer it. Expect most people who deal with intrepid seekers like you to speak English. If you speak Spanish, you might find that a lot of people in the South speak a bit of Spanish too.
What is the weather like?
In September the weather will be pleasant and warm. Expect 70f – 80f-degree temps during the day and around 60 degrees F in the evenings.
Does the house have Wifi?
Yes, Starlink. Super Fast.
Does the house have A/C?
No. A/C is not common in European homes, and in September you will not need it, as the temperature is mild and pleasant. Imagine sleeping in a comfortable bed, and feel a light, warm breeze caress you through the open window. That beats A/C. Any time!
