It’s day 3 of the Tarot Architect workshop. You are seated in a beautiful room in Joshua Tree. There is a good handful of people around you. Some have become friends. You have explored the desert together in the evenings, been touched by sunrises, smelt the clean desert air and merged with the vastness of the sacred landscape around you. These people are open to big thoughts about big pictures and big shared adventure. You have dined together and explored together and felt an unusual sense of belonging, all being here, because they share your interest in Tarot and want to learn from Lon.

You are pretty sure others in the room are pondering similar thoughts right now. What are the building blocks to understanding, and what is there to understand? It is starting to become perfectly clear! Each Tarot card - each colorful picture printed on thin card stock, is in truth a solid and perfectly squared stone. When set into place by the hand of the Master Builder, it forms an essential component to the building of existence. The seventy-eight cards are the foundation, the support, the buttresses, the walls, the ceiling and the ornaments. It has windows so you can peer into reality and imagination, doors so you can enter and exit. Most importantly, these pictures are the Building Blocks of the Temple of YOU and ME and US and EVERYONE and EVERYTHING and every holographic shard of conscious existence. Wow!

Your Teacher: Lon Milo DuQuette

Lon Milo DuQuette also known as Rabbi Lamed Ben Clifford and by his neo-Gnostic bishop title of Tau Lamed, is a World renowned writer, lecturer, musician, ceremonial magickian and occultist.

Lon was born in Long Beach, California, and raised in Columbus, Nebraska. He was an aspiring studio musician and recording artist in the 1970s, releasing two singles and an album. Lon quit the music business and for the following years to present, he has pursued his interest in mysticism.

Since 1975 DuQuette has been a National and International governing officer of Ordo Templi Orientis, a fraternal organization founded in the early part of the 20th century. Since 1996 he has been O.T.O.'s United States Deputy Grand Master. He is also an Archbishop of Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica, the ecclesiastical arm of O.T.O. Lon is a Freemason.

Lon is a preeminent globally recognized authority on Tarot, Esoteric Tradition and the author of nineteen critically acclaimed books on Tarot, magick and the occult (translated in 12 languages). He has written successful books on topics in the Western mystical tradition including: Freemasonry, Tarot, Qabalah, ceremonial magick, the Enochian magick of Dr. John Dee, as well as Goetic spirit evocation. He is perhaps best known as "an author who injects humor into the serious subjects of magick and the occult." It’s true! The Man is very funny!

His autobiography, My Life with the Spirits, is currently a required text for two classes at DePaul University, Chicago. Lon has lectured all over the world,
