Babalon, also known as the Scarlet Woman, is a complex and mysterious figure found in the esoiteric system of Thelema, which was established in 1904 with the writing of The Book of the Law.
Babalon's roots are much older, and are to be found in the Enochian tradition, an enigmatic magical system received by Queen Elizabeth I’s court magician and astrologer Dr. John Dee.
Nowadays, Babalon is everywhere in contemporary esoteric culture: Some say she an icon of feminism, some see her as a complex vector of transcendence. She is by some equated to Inanna, Minerva, Hecate, and seen as a manifestation of The Sacred Feminine.

Occitania has been a place of worship since time out of mind. It’s where our prehistoric ancestors, deep within the many caves in the region, developed rituals and rites to ensure a successful hunt, or for survival throughout the season. It’s a place where one feels a presence of primordial spiritual connection. There is something inherent within the land itself.
Occitania is a place people often feel called to. There’s an instinctual human knowing, that a kind of wild magic still lives, one that will never be conquered, and one that can still be felt in various power places within the landscape.

“My name is Marco Visconti, and I am a lifelong student and practitioner of Magick and the Western Esoteric Tradition. My main focus is to teach the basis of Thelema - an important esoteric ideology and Esoteric Freemasonry to a wider public outside the bonds Secret Societies, oaths gate keeping and hush hush.
From this endeavour came Magick Without Tears, a "virtual Lodge" of like-minded individuals and honest seekers, with weekly livestreams and over 500 articles written during the lockdown years, it has since evolved into its own network with courses and classes available on-demand.
During the period from 2014 to 2018, I worked at Treadwell's Books in London, a renowned centre of knowledge on Western Esotericism. It was there that I acquired extensive knowledge and experience in the delicate art of handling and selling esoteric books.
The experience propelled me into my current employment as an author, writer and teacher of spirituality. Earlier this year, Watkins Publishing released my debut book, "The Aleister Crowley Manual: Thelemic Magick for Modern Times", which explores the principles and practises of Thelema and Magick. The book sold well, has received positive reviews and has been well-received by readers.
Right now, I am engaged in the writing of my second book, while teaching magick and the art of the mysteries through online platforms, at retreats and at the esteemed College of Psychic Studies in Kensington, London.
